Lionfish Removal & Awareness Day

Celebrate the 3rd annual Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day
with us May 20-21, 2017!

The combination of a festival and tournament – there are activities for divers, land-lovers, and the whole family!

Divers removed 8,089 lionfish from Florida waters during the two-day tournament last year. Let’s see how many MORE lionfish we can remove across the state in one weekend.

Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day is the first Saturday after
Mother’s Day each year.

Join us at the headquarters in Pensacola or drop by any participating event occurring statewide to learn about invasive lionfish and support statewide efforts.

The Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day festival is free and will include various activities such as:

  • Lionfish tastings
  • Fillet demonstrations
  • Family activities
  • Celebrity chef cook-off competition
  • Raffles and prizes
  • Local vendors
