3rd Annual Celebrity Chef Cook-Off Competition


Join us for free lionfish tasting at the Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day festival! Lionfish have a white, flaky meat that has been compared to grouper or hogfish. It has become a delicacy in certain parts of the U.S. and the Caribbean. And though lionfish have venomous spines, there is no venom in the meat of the fish. Local celebrity chefs from the Pensacola area will prepare creative recipes for lionfish, with free samples for the public.

In the meantime…stop by any of the Florida Whole Foods or your local seafood markets to purchase whole or filleted lionfish and cook them at home!
